Oceanic-wave is a sub-part of the Kernow Weather Team, a well known and well respected team on social media, providing all the latest weather and travel news in Cornwall. The idea is to have a very large website which covers all ocean information needs, from sports users, environmental details, and fishing industry information. This project was always going to be mammoth, but the aim was to start out focusing primarily on Surfing in Cornwall.
Additionally, as part of the launch campaign, a poster was requested so that it could be displayed and distributed by Only Fins Newquay, a great font of all surf related information in the local area and awesome surfing photographer.
Website: Using WordPress with Elementor Pro for the Development CMS, collectively between myself and Dave from KWT, we was able to bring their needs to life. Incorporating iframes, images, meteorological charts via JSON, interactive maps and megamenu items, this project has the scope to be enormous! We have focused on the beaches around Newquay in Cornwall to get the site up and running, with new locations, activities and information being updated almost constantly.
Poster and Merch Image: Using Gen AI, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I was able to capture the needs of Oceanic-wave and the KWT vision for the first in a series of posters, with more to come as new sections of the website become available.
